ITINERARY
Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Dhulikhel, Pokhara & Chitwan National Park (8n / 9d)
Day 1 – Kathmandu : Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Realx and later explore the shopping district of Thamel. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 2 – Kathmandu : After breakfast explore the cities attractions like Patan, Durbar Square, Bodhnath Stupa ( one of the one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, a UNESCO world heritage site built in the 5th century ), Swayambhunath Temple ( situated on a hilltop with superb views of the valley ) and Pashupatinath Temple . In the evening savor an authentic Nepali dinner. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 3 – Kathmandu to Dhulikhel via Bhaktapur : After breakfast we leave for Bhaktapur. Explore this unique old town, known as the City of Devotees walking through its narrow lanes and visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square with Hindu temples, pagodas, palaces, and monuments, including the beautiful wood-carved palace. Later leave for Dhulikhel, the beautiful Newari (original inhabitants of Kathmandu valley) town from where you get the best views of the Himalayan Ranges. Overnight at Dhulikhel.
Day 4 – Dhulikhel to Pokhara : After breakfast drive across the mountains to beautiful Pokhara and immerse yourself in stunning views of the Himalayas. Nestled in a tranquil valley at an altitude of 2,700 ft, beautiful Pokhara lies on a once vibrant trade route between India and Tibet. This enchanting city has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. It is popular place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Overnight at
Pokhara.
Day 5 – Pokhara : Enjoy the early morning sunrise and mountain views from Sarangkot. Later, go boating in Phewa Lake and hike to the World Peace Pagoda. Opt to go paragliding or just explore on your own. Overnight at Pokhara.
Day 6 – Pokhara to Chitwan National Park : After breakfast drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Chitwan National Park. Royal Chitwan National Park is the oldest national park in Nepal and offers some good wildlife viewing opportunities. It is home to at least 43 species of mammals, 450 species of birds, and 45 species of amphibians and reptiles, including sambars, chitals, rhesus monkeys, and langurs. Overnight at Chitwan National Park.
Day 7 – Chitwan National Park : After breakfast we walk to the river from where we will be taken by boat to Ghagtai village. Enjoy exploring the village on foot and bird watching along the Rapti river. From October to June, when jeep safaris resume we will boat part of the way before meeting our drivers and touring the national park by vehicle, finishing in Ghatgai in the late afternoon. Overnight at Chitwan National Park.
Day 8 – Chitwan National Park to Kathmandu : After breakfast drive from the lowlands of Chitwan National Park in the Terai region to Kathmandu in the hills taking in the changing scenery along the the way. Evening exploring and last minute shopping at Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 9 – Departure : After breakfast transfer to airport. End of tour.
